What the name refers to
Ported2Browser is an independent directory of games that run in a browser. The footer on the public site says games run on their creators’ websites. A “Play in browser” click leaves the directory. This .net site explains that directory. It does not replace it.
What it is not
- Not Portal 2. Portal 2 is Valve’s 2011 puzzle game. There is no official browser edition of it.
- Not a portable browser. A portable app is software you can carry on a USB stick. That is a different idea from a game running in a tab.
- Not ported2browser.org or ported2browser.sbs. Those are other sites. SavePoint names ported2browser.com as the original directory.
- Not a download page. This guide does not offer game files, ROMs, or installers.

Names people type
The same directory is searched as ported2browser, ported 2 browser, and ported2 browser. The public site went up around 29 Sep 2026. A romhacking thread that day described a little over 100 ports. A Portmaster thread about a month later said a little over 150. SavePoint recorded 217 on 16 Oct and 277 on 27 Oct. The homepage read 305 on 4 Nov 2026. I leave those as five readings, not one growth rate.
Interface languages on the directory include English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, and others. This guide starts with Portuguese and Spanish hubs because those queries are the ones with public volume behind them.
