PORTED 2 BROWSER

Privacy policy

This policy covers https://ported2browser.net. The operator is the independent guide described on the about page. Write to [email protected]. Last changed 4 Nov 2026; a change is a new date on this page.

What loads, and when

ThingWhoWhyWhen
Consent bannerThis siteShow notice and remember Accept or RejectEvery page
Google Analytics 4Google LLC (googletagmanager.com, google-analytics.com, analytics.google.com)Aggregate page counts and referrersDefault on the first view; off after Reject
Microsoft ClarityMicrosoft Corporation (clarity.ms, including scripts.clarity.ms and collection subdomains)Heatmaps and session recordingsDefault on the first view; off after Reject
Adsterra native bannerAdsterra, unit 32086175 (bicea.org; creative delivery can use show-creative1.com, show-sb.com, cloudpiko.com, nresystems.com and Google Fonts)In-page advertisingDefault on the first view; off after Reject
Adsterra social barAdsterra, unit 32086176 (bicea.org; the same creative-delivery partners as the native banner)Floating advertising stripDefault on unless you closed it; off after Reject
YouTubeGoogle LLC (youtube-nocookie.com)Play a cited clipOnly after you press Play video

The first group loads on the first view, before you press anything. That is the default this guide chose: analytics, session replay and the two page-friendly ad formats are on from the start. The banner is notice and a way to withdraw, not a gate. Reject turns Google Analytics 4, Clarity and Adsterra off and stores that choice for 180 days. A browser that sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track: 1 is treated as Reject. Cookie settings in the footer opens the choice again; Accept turns the three back on. YouTube is separate: the frame is only created when you press Play video, and Reject does not preload it.

Adsterra chooses the names and lifetimes of its own cookies, and its partners may set more; we do not control that list. Its policy is at adsterra.com/privacy-policy. Google and Microsoft choose theirs under the policies linked below. We do not set a first-party cookie for the consent choice.

Legal basis and retention

Advertising, aggregate analytics and session recording are enabled by default, as disclosed above. Reject reloads the page with these services disabled and remembers your choice for 180 days. Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track also disables them. A withdrawal stops future requests from this site; it cannot retract requests already sent. Google, Microsoft and Adsterra manage information under their linked privacy policies. We have not independently confirmed the account-level retention settings and therefore do not publish a retention period for those services or hosting logs. We do not sell personal information or use these measurements to make decisions about individual readers.

Personalized advertising and opt-outs

Adsterra may personalize ads using cookies and similar identifiers. You can turn off personalized advertising for Google at Google ad settings, for many European buyers at YourOnlineChoices, and for many US buyers at the NAI opt out or aboutads.info choices. Reject on this site stops Adsterra here, not on other sites. You can also use your browser settings to block third-party cookies; the guide still reads without them.

Video

A page with a clip shows a local still image and a Play video button. Pressing it inserts a frame from youtube-nocookie.com. That click is a request to Google, which may then set cookies under its own policy. We do not request the frame on the first view, and Reject does not change that: the frame still waits for your click.

Your requests

Email [email protected] to ask what this site holds about you (usually only the letter you send), to correct a page, or to object to analytics. You can change the on-device choice with Cookie settings, or erase it by clearing site data. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Because the guide has no accounts, there is no profile to delete beyond the cookies and storage listed above.

Changes and contact

When a script is added or removed, this page changes on the same day and the date at the top moves. The operator is the independent guide on ported2browser.net; the mailbox is [email protected]. Outbound links to the directory, author sites and Reddit are other controllers the moment you leave this guide.

Questions people ask

Do you run ads?

Yes. Adsterra serves a native banner and a floating social bar on this guide. We do not load its popunder, standard banner or smartlink formats, and adult ads stay off.

What is stored on my device?

The keys p2b-consent (your Accept or Reject choice) and p2b_socialbar_dismissed (when you dismiss the floating bar), in local storage for this site. The consent choice expires after 180 days; the floating-ad dismissal lasts until site data is cleared. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Adsterra also set their own cookies, listed below.

How do I change my choice?

Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner. Reject turns Google Analytics 4, Clarity and Adsterra off; Accept turns them back on. The choice lasts 180 days, or until you clear site data in your browser.
