How we check ports and sources
This page is the rule the rest of the guide follows. It is public so a “5 sources” cell means something you can audit.
What we read
- The directory card and the author page it points at.
- A second write-up: a magazine piece, a repository readme, a YouTube title and description, or a public forum thread.
- A scan lab’s own page, quoted with its date, when the topic is safety.
What a status cell means
| Cell | Meaning |
|---|---|
| N sources · reference set | That many independent publishers contributed to the entity reference list. This is not a claim that all of them confirm every field. |
| 2 sources / 3 sources on a specific claim | That many independent public sources support the stated claim. Pages from the same project count as one source. |
| 1 source | Only one page said it. We did not upgrade it. |
| Sources disagree | Two sources conflict. Both remain on the page. |
| Blank | No public figure. We did not estimate. |
What we will not do
We do not host game files, publish conversion steps, or copy a video title that says a removed build is still playable. Modern Warfare 2 is the example: the card and the project page say it is down, so the guide says it is down. Dates on this site are the day a page was read, starting 4 Nov 2026. When a number moves, we add the new reading instead of overwriting history into a single growth rate.
Corrections go to the address on the contact page. Who operates the guide is on about.

Questions people ask
What counts as checked?
Two independent public pages, videos, or posts that agree. A directory card plus the author’s own page can be two. A repost of the same sentence does not.
What if they disagree?
We print both and mark the row sources disagree. We do not average trust scores or pick the rounder number.
Do you play the games to verify?
No. The limit is written once on each page. We do not make an in-game session a condition of publishing.
