PORTED 2 BROWSER

CS surf in the browser

Surfd, by 0yield, was added to the directory on 27 Oct 2026. The card’s summary is a browser recreation of the Counter-Strike surf mode, with Source-style physics, timed runs, and leaderboards. The original game it points at is Valve’s Counter-Strike from 2004, which is the lineage of the mode, not a claim that the retail game now runs in the tab.

What the page showed

On 4 Nov 2026 surfd.net named the map surf_boreas by Syncronyze. Its live audience count is left blank here because the public HTML shows an initial value until its live connection updates. Physics are described at 66 tick. Modes on the card: ranked and unranked runs, a practice mode that saves and loads a position, checkpoint splits against your best and the world record, a ghost of the record route, leaderboards, and a server browser. Keys can be changed. There is no story length to cite, and I will not invent one.

What this is not

It is not “CS:GO in a browser,” and it is not the CS 1.6 row in the games table, which is a different project with its own crouch-key note. The GitHub catalog files this under Counter-Strike: Source Surf pointing at surfd.net. I use that as a third index line, not as permission to say the Source game is included. No anti-cheat write-up was on the pages I read, so that cell stays empty. Controller keeps this title in the mouse-and-keys row.

Questions people ask

Can I play Counter-Strike: Source here?

No. Surfd recreates the surf mode with its own map. It does not ship CS: Source assets, and the card does not call it that port.

How many people were online?

The page has a live server and player counter. A static page response does not establish the current audience, so this guide leaves that number blank.

Is there a gamepad?

The card says keyboard only. Movement is W A S D, with jump, crouch, R to restart, and Esc for the menu.
